Favorite Beer Bread
Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
One 12-ounce can of beer (experiment with seasonal and local
beers...the cheaper the better!)
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease loaf pan. Combine and mix
ingredients in a mixing bowl. Transfer batter into prepared
pan. Bake for 1 hour.
Georgian Inn
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 3 cups self-rising flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- One 12-ounce can of beer
Melt margarine Pour into 3 small (3 x 5 x 1/2 inch) loaf pans.
Mix flour and sugar, and stir in warm beer. Pour over margarine
in loaf pans. Let stand 10 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees for
45 minutes or until golden brown.
